Our Team
Fascinated by her mother’s masterful ability to create amazing dishes, 26 year-old Chef, Charissa Henry-Skyers was drawn into the culinary world as a child in her mother’s kitchen. She is deeply passionate about food. Her enterprising gastronomic devotion saw her pursuing and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management at Johnson and Wales University in Miami, Florida in 2013. From her experience overseas, Henry looked to owning her own company. Her company, Pink Apron Jamaica was started in 2014, and is an avenue for the expression of her culinary delights.
Charissa shares, “Food is my creative medium. No matter how often a single ingredient is used, there is always the possibility to recreate it in another way. I like telling stories through flavors from across the world. You can experience another culture in a single bite. I get excited seeing that smile of awestruck satisfaction when people taste one of my creations. My cooking style is modern international fusion cuisine. I have a unique style and approach to cooking that makes my food absolutely enjoyable and leaves you wanting more.”
